After School Snack Kabobs
Published on 2014-09-16 | Posted in Fun Snack Ideas, Healthy Snack Ideas, Kid Friendly Recipes
These aren’t your traditional meat and veggie kabobs prepared on the grill. Our fruit, veggie and sandwich kabobs require no cooking and are made with the kids in mind. While these kabobs are certainly healthy, which makes mom and dad happy, they are also full of fun and yummy Kernel Season’s flavors to appease the kids. Plus, the bright hues of the fresh fruits and veggies are a great way to teach little ones colors while spending time together after school.

First, cut up a variety of fruits, vegetables and/or deli meats that your kids will enjoy. Try to cube or slice them in even proportions. You can build your kabobs using the list of veggies, fruits and sandwich toppings above or opt for other ingredients based on your child’s likes and dislikes. However, we suggest using a selection of colorful foods for a rainbow inspired kabob.
Once the veggies, fruit and sandwich toppings are cut up, begin building the kabobs using wooden spears. Next use Kernel Season’s Popcorn Seasonings to add some flavor to the kabobs. Ranch, Garlic Parmesan and White Cheddar seasonings would be great options for the sandwich and veggie kabobs. While the Milk Chocolate Caramel or Caramel seasoning would be so tasty on the fruit kabobs.
